The Buffalo Bills held their first practice of the week on Thursday, and wide receiver D.J. Moore was notably missing from the field. Moore hurt his shoulder while trying to make a play in Week 4's 29-26 loss at home to the New England Patriots, and his status since then for Week 5's meeting with the Los Angeles Rams has been up in the air.

“Bills WR D.J. Moore did not practice today due to his shoulder injury,” NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN wrote in a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.

Moore left the Patriots game in the first half and did not return. Before he exited the contest, the former Maryland Terrapins star wideout recorded just a catch for 11 receiving yards on two targets.

The 29-year-old Moore is in his first season with the Bills, who acquired him via a trade in the offseason with the Chicago Bears. Buffalo sent a 2026 second-rounder to the Bears, while getting Moore and a 2026 fifth-rounder.

Moore madde loud noises right away for the Bills in the 2026 season, as he produced 100 receiving yards and a touchdown on five receptions and eight targets in Buffalo's 36-31 win in Week 1 over the Houston Astros on the road. He hurt his shoulder in Week 2's 41-31 win at home against the Detroit Lions, and failed to record a catch or get a look from quarterback Josh Allen. He was better in Week 3 agaisnt the Los Angeles Chargers, recordeing 67 receiving yards on six catches and 10 targets in a 24-16 victory.

With or without Moore in Monday's showdown against the Rams, Buffalo's offense will be a big threat. On the season, the Bills are leading the league with 31.8 points per game.
