With the Golden State Warriors facing the Denver Nuggets on Monday night, the team is looking for its first win of the season, as the 0-3 start is the first time the team has begun the regular season that poorly in the Stephen Curry era. As Curry still leads the Warriors in elite fashion, former player DeMarcus Cousins would call out general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. for how he's built the team.

Speaking on “Run it Back,” Cousins wouldn't hold back on his thoughts on Dunleavy, saying that he has done a “s*** job” in building Golden State around Curry as of late. He even went as far as to say that he is shocked that Dunleavy “still has a job.”

“And it's unfortunate because I think Steph has so much more greatness to give, even at this point in his career,” Cousins said. “I don't feel like the front office is believing in Steph the way everybody in the world believes in Steph. And I think the evidence is pretty apparent. I'll go on the record and say I think Dunleavy has done a s*** job as far as putting a roster around Steph Curry. Why this guy still has a job? I'll never know. Obviously, I don't have that privilege in life.”

DeMarcus Cousins continues scathing assessment on Warriors

Cousins would stress how the Warriors' system is built on “nostalgia” and how it's “outdated,” as he further questions how they haven't paired Curry with a star big man.

“I think he's done a horrible job as far as putting a good group around him,” Cousins continued. “They're still running the same outdated system as far as going extremely small. I think the other night Steve Kerr put in a lineup, and the tallest guy on the floor was [six-foot-six-inches]. It doesn't work anymore. The system is outdated…So, it sucks to see Steph kind of go out on this limb. I feel like he has a lot more greatness to give.”

At any rate, it remains to be seen how Curry and Golden State continue to play this season.
