The Los Angeles Dodgers entered the postseason as the team to beat. Sure, the Milwaukee Brewers had the best record during the 2026 regular season, but LA featured the most star-power and was also coming off back-to-back championships. Fans expected a competitive National League Championship Series when the teams inevitably went head-to-head, but, instead, the Brewers cruised to a series sweep. Milwaukee is now one win away from its first World Series championship in franchise history.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts shared his thoughts on this 2026 Brewers ball club during a recent interview with MLB insider Buster Olney, via ESPN Podcasts.

“I've really loved the way the Brewers are playing,” Roberts told Olney. “I was telling my wife, after we got eliminated, it was like, I know our guys are hungry, but the Brewers were starving.”

Milwaukee currently leads the World Series 3-1 over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Brewers can win the World Series with a victory in Game 5 on Wednesday night at 8 PM ET.
