Pete Crow-Armstrong created an incredible highlight as he achieved a season milestone in the Chicago Cubs' series finale against the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday afternoon.

Crow-Armstrong is going through the fourth season of his career in the majors. He has shined as one of the best hitters in the league, helping Chicago be competitive in the playoff race of the NL bracket.

This contest saw both teams even at one game apiece. Cincinnati took the series opener by a 6-4 win on Friday before Chicago responded with a 5-2 victory on Saturday. The winner of this game took the series and the tiebreaker in the division standings.

Going into the game, Crow-Armstrong has a knack for creating explosive highlights with big plays. That certainly took the spotlight once again during the top of the fifth inning.

Chicago led 6-1 in the frame. Crow-Armstrong went up to bat as he blasted the two-run homer to center field, growing the lead to 8-1.

How Pete Crow-Armstrong, Cubs played against Reds

Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Cubs enjoyed a strong performance, ending the series with a 9-1 win over the Reds in Game 3.

Chicago controlled the game from start to finish. They boomed with five runs throughout the first three innings, only conceding once in the fourth frame.

David Peterson started on the mound as he lasted for six innings and earned the win. He struck out seven batters while giving up just three hits and one earned run.

Chicago improved to an 87-69 record on the season, sitting at second place in the NL Central Division standings. They are above the Pittsburgh Pirates and the St. Louis Cardinals while trailing the Milwaukee Brewers.

The Cubs will look forward to their next series, being at home. They host the Miami Marlins as Game 1 commences on Sept. 22 at 7:40 p.m. ET.
