After the Dallas Cowboys suffered an embarrassing defeat to the Arizona Cardinals in overtime, 33-30, on Sunday, owner Jerry Jones said he is not ready to fire anybody, even with the growing clamor to axe coach Brian Schottenheimer.
Jones, however, may sing a different tune regarding the players. He has never been shy about tinkering with the roster, and George Pickens could be shipped to a different team, as the Cowboys try to salvage their spiraling campaign.
For ESPN's Benjamin Solak, trading the 25-year-old Pickens would be a logical move for Dallas.
“The Cowboys are 3-5, have George Pickens playing on the tag, don't seem equipped to pay him a market-rate extension, and have three quality receivers in Pickens, (CeeDee) Lamb, and Ryan Flournoy,” wrote Solak on X.
“I continue to think they should move him before the deadline.”
Solak's post earned mixed reactions from fans.
“It's been a very open discussion in Cowboys fandom for three weeks,” said @TitanicGambler.
“I was against it because I thought they would figure something out. Guess not,” added @napp4ever.
“Maybe they wouldn't be 3-5 if they actually threw the ball his way,” wrote @EdgeGroupie94.

“He's a bum. Probably get a fourth-round pick,” commented @BuzzsawEJ.
Pickens had two receptions for 48 yards on four targets against the Cardinals. He has had a subpar campaign after being named to the All-Pro Second Team last season.
Multiple teams are reportedly eyeing the talented pass-catcher, including the Cardinals, the Los Angeles Chargers, the Los Angeles Rams, the Tennessee Titans, and the Washington Commanders, among others.
