The flight back home will feel a little longer for the Dallas Cowboys after suffering a painful loss to the Baltimore Ravens, 34-31, at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro on Sunday.
It was the third game in Brazil in league history, and the crowd of more than 72,000 got a nail-biting affair. Lamar Jackson completed a 27-yard pass to Zay Flowers, which set up the game-winning field goal by Tyler Loop.
The Cowboys had multiple chances to seal the win, but they could not get it done, falling to 1-2.
In the postgame conference, coach Brian Schottenheimer did not hide his frustration, as reported by The Athletic's Jon Machota.
“I'm disappointed as hell right now because of the pain in that locker room. This has been a very cool trip. I just wish we would've come out with a win,” said Schottenheimer.
“This team is gonna stick together because of the men in that room.”
Dak Prescott went 25-of-40 for 276 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. Javonte Williams had 19 carries for 98 yards and one touchdown.
The Cowboys will take on the Houston Texans in Week 4.
