The Washington Commanders are not doing so great so far under the watch of Dan Quinn, but wide receiver Stefon Diggs isn't going to let calls for the team to part ways with the head coach pass without giving his thoughts on it.
Diggs just did that, emphatically.
Showing support for Quinn, the veteran wideout Diggs said Quinn has “done a great ****ing job,” via JP Finlay of NBC4 Sports. Diggs added that Washington just has to “see one go through the hoop.”
The Commanders have made just a bucket, so to speak, so far in the 2026 NFL season, and it has been weeks since they recorded their only win to date in the campaign. They lost their first two assignments before stunning the reigning Super Bowl champions Seattle Seahawks in a victory at home in Week 3.
That was followed by a loss to the Indianapolis Colts and a tie with the New York Giants. In a Week 7 Monday Night Football showdown against the San Francisco 49ers on the road, the Commanders suffered yet another loss to bring their record down to 1-4-1.
Article Continues BelowDiggs hopes to show support for Quinn beyond just words and with his play this coming Sunday, when the Commanders come off a bye and see action against the Philadelphia Eagles at home. The four-time Pro Bowler wideout did not practice on Wednesday due to hand and hamstring issues (plus rest), but was able to give it a full go on the field on Thursday.
Through five games in his first season with the Commanders, Diggs has racked up 214 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 24 receptions and 38 targets.
