While Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is taking responsibility, his head coach, Dan Quinn, appears to have avoided a knee-jerk firing. And Quinn is done talking about Daniels’ brutal brain fart that led to “hard truths,” according to a post on X by John Keim.
“Quinn: ‘We've turned the page from Sunday… a lot of hard truths.’ ”
The Commanders stand at 1-3-1 after the egregious error.

One good thing is that Daniels has a strong attitude, Quinn said, according to the Commanders’ YouTube page via NBC Sports.
“He’s such a mentally tough person that he’s very stoic a lot of times,” Quinn said. “It’s honest conversations about where you’re at, how things are. The longer you get to know somebody, you know some of the signs and tells. For him, he’s somebody that definitely is back. Even through tough weeks, he is a really resilient guy.”
But Quinn might not be the right guy to lead Daniels, according to a post on YouTube by First Take via Pro Football Network.
“I don’t see development from Jayden Daniels,” Stephen A. Smith said. “I see a stud as a player and as an athlete when he’s on the football field. But I saw that from his rookie year. I don’t see advancement.”

“Now, obviously, (Daniels) missed a chunk of time last year due to injury,” Smith said. “He’s gotten injured again with his elbow. But when you look at a Ben Johnson, and you look at the growth and maturation that has taken place with a Caleb Williams, for example, I think you see Liam Cohen in Jacksonville with Trevor Lawrence, even though Trevor Lawrence has been in the league for quite some time, but you see the growth there.
“You’re looking for a coach that elevates that. Dan Quinn is a defensive guy. They don’t seem equipped to really, really buffer their offense in a fashion that would make them more formidable.”
