With two wins already on their record this season, the Indianapolis Colts are preparing for a Week 5 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, ahead of the game, Indianapolis made a move to bolster its defensive front, bringing in veteran pass rusher Carl Lawson.

NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that Lawson is joining the Indianapolis team after previously playing under defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo during their time together in Cincinnati.

“The Colts are signing veteran DE Carl Lawson. Lawson previously played under Colts DC Lou Anarumo in Cincinnati. He has recorded 32 sacks over his eight-year career, including five with the Cowboys in 2024. He’ll start on the practice squad,” Schultz wrote.
