One of the biggest storylines coming into Week 7 of the NFL season was star running back Kenneth Walker III's return to Seattle to play the Seahawks. Walker won the Super Bowl MVP with Seattle last season, but departed for the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency and is a big reason the Chiefs raced out to a 5-0 start.

Walker came into the week leading the league in rushing, but the elite Seahawks defense put all of that to a stop. Walker was stifled all night long, finishing with a measly 36 rushing yards on 14 carries and 21 receiving yards on four catches in a 20-3 loss that saw the Chiefs fail to reach the red zone at all.

After the game, as players convened at midfield to shake hands and share pleasantries, Walker was nowhere to be found. Instead of greeting his old teammates, he quickly snuck off into the Kansas City locker room.

In press, the star running back shared why he didn't want to see his old teammates after the loss, via Jesse Newell of The Athletic.

“S***, we lost. I was frustrated. That’s about it,” Walker said. “I seen them over there celebrating s***. So that’s about it.”

Nothing went the Chiefs' way on Sunday night. Walker was shut down, as was Patrick Mahomes, who finished with just 165 yards passing and a key interception. The Chiefs finished with their lowest yardage output (213) and their lowest number of total first downs (11) in any game started by Mahomes.

Of course, this is only the first loss for Kansas City, so there is no reason to hit the panic button just yet. However, the Denver Broncos are right on the Chiefs' tail at 5-2, so getting a win and a season sweep over the reigning AFC West champions next week in Denver is crucial for the Chiefs if they want to get back to their ways of winning Super Bowls.

Walker had a monster game in the season opener against the Broncos, tallying 191 total yards and two touchdowns. Expect a bounce back from him in Week 8.
