The Kansas City Chiefs recently started out their 2026 season with a bang with a home win over the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football. Patrick Mahomes didn't look fully healthy in his first game back from an ACL injury, but it didn't matter, as Kansas City's defense and running game dominated throughout the evening.

Mahomes will certainly want as much help as possible from a wide receiver group that many have questions about heading into this season, and recently, NFL insiders Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano of ESPN floated the idea of a reunion with a familiar face for the team.

“… free agent receiver Tyreek Hill remains fond of the Chiefs, and a potential in-season signing would make a lot of sense. He should be closer to playing around October,” they reported on ESPN.com.

Hill hasn't played since suffering a brutal leg injury early in the season last year for the Miami Dolphins, but he is only a couple of years removed from being voted as the best overall player in the NFL by his peers, so it will be interesting to see how much he has left in the tank as he returns to the field.

Hill is currently a free agent, and signing with Kansas City could be just what the Chiefs need to give their wide receiver room an injection of speed and veteran experience.

Travis Kelce was able to turn back the clock on Monday for a big gain that nearly resulted in a touchdown against the Broncos, and the Chiefs would hope for similar things out of Hill were he to sign there.
