Right tackle Joe Alt (neck) was one of eight Chargers who didn’t practice on Wednesday.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Alt is expected to miss Sunday’s game against the Broncos. The Chargers do not plan to place him on injured reserve, though.
Alt injured his neck late in the first half, and Travis Burke replaced him.
The Chargers also practiced without left tackle Rashawn Slater (ankle), offensive lineman Trevor Penning (concussion), safety Derwin James (hamstring), cornerback Donte Jackson (hamstring), left guard Kayode Awosika (fibula), wide receiver Ladd McConkey (foot) and outside linebacker Khalil Mack (rest).
Cornerback Cam Hart (knee), fullback Alec Ingold (shoulder), wide receiver Quentin Johnston (chest), tight end Charlie Kolar (forearm), quarterback Trey Lance (groin), defensive back Deane Leonard (rib), fullback/defensive lineman Scott Matlock (foot), offensive lineman Branson Taylor (neck), wide receiver Brenen Thompson (quad) and defensive lineman Dalvin Tomlinson (hamstring) were limited.
