The Los Angeles Chargers are still searching for their first win of the season. Justin Herbert and his team are now preparing to face the Denver Broncos in Week 5. However, before the crucial matchup, injuries to wide receiver Ladd McConkey and several other key players have put Herbert and the Chargers in a difficult position.

McConkey missed practice throughout the week and was listed as questionable for Sunday's game because of a foot injury. NFL insider Adam Schefter reported the wide receiver is not expected to suit up against the Broncos.

In another report, Schefter shared more concerns surrounding Herbert and the Chargers ahead of their Week 5 showdown, pointing to the quarterback's recent struggles and the team's offensive line problems.

“Chargers QB Justin Herbert has gone six straight games without having more touchdown passes than interceptions,” Schefter reported.

“And there are even more challenges today. With veteran offensive tackles Rashawn Slater and Joe Alt out today, the Chargers are expected to start four rookies along their offensive line vs. Denver: rookie left tackle Logan Taylor, rookie left guard Jake Slaughter, rookie center Jacob Spomer, veteran right guard and rookie right tackle Alex Harkey.”
