Jeremiah Trotter, Jr. and Bryan Thomas, Jr. were both ejected after fighting during the opening kickoff in Week 5.

Sunday’s meeting between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Jacksonville Jaguars got off to a chaotic start.

Including a pair of ejections.

After the Eagles won the toss and deferred, Jacksonville returned the opening kickoff for an apparent touchdown.

But that was erased due to a holding penalty on the Jaguars, and that is when the frenzy truly began. A fight at midfield broke out and two players — Philadelphia’s Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Jacksonville’s Bryan Thomas Jr. — were both ejected.

You can see some of the fight, and the aftermath, in these clips:

Here is the moment where Trotter learned he was ejected:

Here is an image of Trotter leaving the field:

While Trotter was ejected early in the game, it was not the earliest ejection for an Eagles player in team history.

That is a mark set by … his father, who was ejected before a game against the Atlanta Falcons back in 2005:

You can imagine emotions are high on the Philadelphia side of the field. With the Eagles coming off a pair of losses and sitting at 2-2, and without both Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith due to injury, Philadelphia needs a win.

And a spark.
