The Chicago Bulls are beyond excited to see Caleb Wilson rise to the occasion. On Tuesday, the Bulls hosted their first official practice at the Advocate Center in Chicago.
For Wilson, it was his first NBA practice. Afterward, words cannot begin to describe his excitement.
“I mean, I felt like it was really competitive, honestly,” Wilson said. “One thing that I can only really measure it to is college practice. We were really intense out there. It was a lot of communication. It was really physical out there. Also, we had people diving on the floor for loose balls. I feel like that's just like a really good sign to see, and I feel like it's a culture setter.”
In terms of culture setting, the Bulls are looking to do just that from the top down. After years of stagnation and underperformance, the Bulls are looking to chart an entirely new path. Led by new front office head Bryson Graham and new head coach Tiago Splitter, Chicago is looking to rebuild the right way.
Obviously, Wilson being selected as the No.4 pick was a major coo. He lives up to the SLAP acronym Graham set forth. Wilson has size, length, athleticism, and physicality.
Josh Giddey, Matas Buzelis, Norman Powell, and Nic Claxton represent a unique blend of youthfulness and experience to round out their starting five.
The Bulls will begin their preseason on Oct. 7 against the Phoenix Suns at the United Center. Their regular season begins on Oct. 21 against the Toronto Raptors.
