The Alabama football program is currently making its final preparations for Saturday's showdown against the Georgia Bulldogs at home. Earlier in the day, Tuscaloosa hosted ESPN's “College Gameday,” which was held indoors in the basketball arena due to rainy weather in the area.
Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban understandably picked the Crimson Tide to come out victorious in this one, and now, former Gameday guest picker and WNBA star Caitlin Clark has weighed in on that selection.
“Dang really thought this was the week Coach Saban doesn’t pick Bama,” wrote Clark on X, formerly Twitter.
It would certainly be a sight to see if Saban were to pick against his old team, although he doesn't have quite the same homer attitude as some of the other panelists and guest pickers on the show have been known to exhibit from time to time.
Opinions from analysts are split on who has the upper hand in this clash of the titans, as both Georgia and Alabama enter this matchup with perfect 5-0 records, without having faced a ton of adversity so far this season.
Alabama has made more highlight-reel plays than the Bulldogs this year, and the weather isn't expected to affect quarterback and Heisman Trophy hopeful Keelon Russell's ability to sling the ball down the field.

In any case, kickoff for this matchup is slated for 7:30 pm ET from Tuscaloosa, with the game set to be carried by ABC.
