Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud didn’t land a contract extension ahead of the 2026 season, but he’s helped his argument for one over the first six weeks of the regular season.
Stroud’s play helped the Texans to their second straight win in London last Sunday. Stroud went 24-of-34 for 312 yards and three touchdowns in Houston’s 34-31 win over the Jaguars.
The NFL announced on Wednesday that Stroud has been named the AFC offensive player of the week. It’s the fourth time Stroud has received that award.
Stroud enters Week 7 with the second-most passing yards in the league and keeping the Texans rolling against the Giants this weekend will send them into the bye week with a 3-4 record.
