When the Buccaneers return to the practice field on Wednesday, they will have wide receiver David Sills.
The team opened his 21-day return-to-practice window from injured reserve. Sills missed five games due to a hamstring injury.
The Buccaneers can activate Seals from IR at any time during the next three weeks.
Tampa Bay started the season with six receivers on the active roster, but Jalen McMillan went on injured reserve on Sept. 30 due to a knee injury.
Sills joined the Buccaneers as a free agent in May, following the team’s new offensive coordinator, Zac Robinson, from Atlanta. Sills played in Robinson’s offense with the Falcons in 2025, achieving career-best totals of 18 catches for 191 yards and two touchdowns.
He played the 2021-22 seasons with the Giants and the 2023 campaign in Denver before spending 2024 on the Broncos’ practice squad. In his career, Sills has appeared in 33 games with 11 starts and has recorded 31 catches for 315 yards and two scores.
