The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have claimed guard Trevor Keegan off waivers from the Minnesota Vikings, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported Wednesday.

The move came one day after Minnesota waived the 26-year-old. Keegan appeared in seven games for the Vikings this season, playing 30 special teams snaps and three offensive snaps. Minnesota had claimed him off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys in September.

Keegan entered the NFL as a fifth-round pick (172nd overall) of the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2024 NFL Draft. He played in just one regular-season game as a rookie but ended the season as a Super Bowl champion. After being waived the following summer, he landed with the Cowboys, where a neck injury sent him to injured reserve.

Before the NFL, the Crystal Lake, Illinois, native built a decorated career at Michigan. He was a three-time All-Big Ten selection and earned first-team All-Big Ten honors in 2022. Voted a team captain in 2023, Keegan started all 15 games at left guard as the Wolverines finished a perfect season and won the College Football Playoff national championship. He was also part of consecutive Joe Moore Award-winning offensive lines.

Keegan joins a Tampa Bay team that has won three of its last four games after an 0-4 start. The Buccaneers' offensive line, which underperformed early in the season, has played a big role in that turnaround, including a 16-0 shutout win over the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8.

Tampa Bay will hit the road to face the Chicago Bears on Sunday Night Football.
