Turns out there's another LA battle going on outside of the mayor race. But this one involves a clapback from Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh. All stemming from a “deli meat” diss Los Angeles Rams safety Quentin Lake handed to Justin Herbert.
The Rams captain appeared on the St. Brown Brothers podcast to take a dig at the struggling Bolts quarterback.
“He was throwing deli meat out there. He’s seeing ghosts, I’m not gonna lie. We knew we were gonna get a couple,” Lake said in describing the two-interception outing they created on Sunday, leading to the 24-9 Rams rout.
Harbaugh, however, strongly disagreed with the Lake assessment.
“As far as anyone's opinion, I don't see that. Everybody's entitled to their opinion, that's not what I see,” Harbaugh told reporters on Wednesday.
He later got asked what he has seen out of Herbert amid his struggles.
“Pass game, I thought he did his job exceptionally well. Two throws he'd like to have back,” Harbaugh said.
Jim Harbaugh responded to #Rams S Quentin Lake's comments he made about Justin Herbert seeing ghosts and throwing deli meat this past Sunday at SoFi Stadium 💀👀

Still, the Bolts never found consistent offensive rhythm in the LA battle. Herbert got kept out of the end zone along with the other Chargers skill position players. The losing Los Angeles team settled for field goal to put points on the board, making it nine straight quarters that the Bolts haven't crossed the end zone.
Worse is the Chargers and Rams are now going in opposite directions. The latter finds themselves at 4-4 now following a rough 2-4 start. But the Bolts remain the NFL's lone winless team at 0-7 overall.
