After years of finishing near the bottom of the standings, the expectation was that Cleveland would again struggle this year. They entered training camp with a quarterback competition, and one that left a lot to be desired, with Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders as the options to throw the football. A big reason for Cleveland's success has been the influx of young talent on the roster. For example, the Browns bolstered the offense by taking Spencer Fano, KC Concepcion, and Denzel Boston with their first three picks in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The latter two were highly touted receiver prospects that have made big impacts right away. Unfortunately, Concepcion suffered a nasty hit in the game against the New York Jets, and he has officially been ruled out for the remainder of the contest.
