The Cleveland Browns recently fell back down to Earth with a tough road loss to the New York Jets by a score of 17-12. A scary moment occurred in that one when wide receiver KC Concepcion went down after taking a big hit that knocked him out and forced him to leave the game.

However, on Wednesday, the team got a big update on his status moving forward from head coach Todd Monken.

“#Browns Todd Monken on KC Concepcion (concussion) practicing on a limited basis today after getting knocked out cold on Sunday,” reported Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com on X, formerly Twitter.

It's certainly an intriguing update for the Browns, who will surely not want to rush the wide receiver back after Sunday's vicious hit, and will be following the NFL's concussion protocol rules as they work him back toward the playing field.

Concepcion has been enjoying a solid year for the Browns this year, becoming a preferred target of quarterback Deshaun Watson, who is looking to prove that he is still a legit starter at the NFL level.

Unfortunately, most of the good vibes that the Browns had built up over the last few weeks dissipated during Sunday's loss to the Jets, although Cleveland does still sit with a winning record of 3-2 on the season and has had several young players, particularly on the defensive side of the ball, step up and perform above expectations so far this year.

In any case, the Browns will next hit the field on Sunday for a tough home game against the Baltimore Ravens at 1:00 pm ET.
