The Cleveland Browns have some injuries to deal with as the 2026 NFL season reaches its ninth week of action. Among the notable players on the team's injury report ahead of its Week 9 showdown against the New Orleans Saints at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans is tight end Harold Fannin Jr.

The second-year pro has been arguably the most important weapon downfield for Cleveland this season, but the team is facing the possibility of missing Fannin for the game in the Big Easy.

The Bowling Green Falcons product popped up on the Browns' injury report on Thursday with a lower-body issue, though he was able to practice in limited fashion with the team.

“Browns TE Harold Fannin Jr. was added to the injury report and limited with a groin injury. A groin injury prematurely ended his rookie season and kept him sidelined for much of the offseason workout program,” Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN shared via a social media post on X, formerly Twitter.

Hopefully, this is nothing but a bit of maintenance on the part of the Browns, but it is still a reasonable cause for concern that Fannin is on the injury report this close to the matchup versus Tyler Shough and the Saints on the road.

Fannin still has a chance to practice in full and remove any doubts about his status for Sunday's game, so his situation is worth monitoring, especially given his importance to the Browns' attack.

A third-round pick by the Browns in the 2025 NFL Draft, Fannin is leading the team so far this season with 411 receiving yards to go along with three touchdowns on 35 receptions and 51 targets through eight games.
