Broncos running back R.J. Harvey will miss at least the next four games.
Harvey is going on injured reserve because of a knee injury he suffered in practice this week, according to Ian Rapoport.
An injured reserve stint has to last at least four games, so Harvey will be on IR for at least tomorrow against the Chiefs, Week 9 against the Panthers, the Week 10 bye, Week 11 against the Raiders and Week 12 against the Steelers. He will be eligible to return in Week 13, December 6 against the Dolphins.
Harvey is a backup who plays a lot on third downs and is the Broncos’ top receiver out of the backfield, with 25 catches for 217 yards this season. He also has 24 carries for 87 yards.
