The 49ers have dealt with a slew of injuries over the first month of the season, but quarterback Brock Purdy has stayed healthy and he’s a big reason why the team is 3-0.
Purdy has gone 60-of-83 for 789 yards, nine touchdowns and an interception so far this season. His nine touchdown passes lead the league and he leads the league in a number of other metrics, including quarterback rating. On top of that, Purdy has not been sacked yet this year.
That production and the 49ers’ record made Purdy the NFL’s choice for the NFC offensive player of the month for September.
Purdy was also the NFC offensive player of the week in Week 2, but this is the first time that he’s taken the monthly prize.
