The Kansas City Chiefs lost 28-24 to the Denver Broncos after getting stuffed at the goal-line during the final drive. It didn't help that a crucial false start penalty on 4th-and-2 sent the Chiefs back five yards.

However, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes' wife Brittany clearly wasn't a fan of the call, as she blasted the referees on social media. Ari Meirov posted a screenshot of Brittany's Instagram story on X, formerly Twitter.

“You can't tell me you call that on a game winning TD, oh wait yeah I can cause it's us🙂 That was the weakest call I have ever seen, you can't tell me otherwise,” Brittany Mahomes wrote.

Penalty aside, the Chiefs should feel that they threw away a win. They were leading 24-13 heading into the fourth quarter but proceeded to give up 15 unanswered points. They then get a great chance to win the game with 1st-and-goal from inside the five-yard line, but they failed to convert.

On paper, Patrick Mahomes had a strong game with 321 yards and three touchdowns. But even with the false start penalty, the fact that the Chiefs were unable to get a touchdown on the goal-line with the game on the line falls on him and the offense.

After back-to-back defeats due in part to offensive mishaps, the Chiefs need to get back to the drawing board to fix those issues. The return of wide receiver Rashee Rice, who finished with seven catches for 53 yards with a touchdown, will be particularly huge for the offense moving forward.
