The Milwaukee Brewers are preparing to face the Tampa Bay Rays in the World Series. Brewers manager Pat Murphy is taking a moment to reflect on his team's success, before the Fall Classic begins.

“We went in there ready. We went in there with the feeling of: let's play pitch-to-pitch in the now and see who wins,” Murphy said about his team's sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS, per The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

The Brewers had a magical season, and a World Series title would certainly be the icing on the cake. Milwaukee won the National League Central division after posting a whopping 103 regular season wins.

Murphy said there wasn't one particular moment this year where he truly realized how good his team was.

“I always feel like there is somebody bigger, stronger, faster……there were times during the season where I shook my head and said, these guys like winning,” Murphy said about his team on Cowherd's show.

The Brewers kept their foot on the gas when the postseason started. Milwaukee powered their way through the Major League Baseball Playoffs, to reach the Fall Classic. The Brewers swept the Dodgers in four games in the NLCS, while also defeating the San Diego Padres in the NLDS.

Only Tampa Bay stands in the way now of a Brewers championship. The Rays also had a fabulous season.

“The 2026 World Series will feature a rare matchup between each league’s top regular-season team, just the sixth time that has happened in the Wild Card Era (1995). Both the Brewers (103-59) and Rays (98-64) will be in line for their franchise’s first World Series title, too, if they raise the Commissioner’s Trophy,” MLB.com reported.

The Brewers and Rays play Game 1 of the World Series on Friday.
