Jacob Misiorowski has a real chance to win the Cy Young Award after a strong regular season, but his focus is on bigger things. Misiorowski was named the Brewers' Game 1 starter against the San Diego Padres after a historic season that got a “beautiful” take from manager Pat Murphy.
Misiorowski had a take of his own on the playoffs vs. regular season according to MLB.com writer Adam McCalvy.
“Jacob Misiorowski says the differences between the regular season and postseason include the press conference he's currently taking part in,” McCalvy wrote.
“I think the only thing is the outside noise, all this stuff that's going on here. You know, a lot of bullsh**t, frankly,” Misiorowski said.

Misiorowski was good enough to garner MVP consideration this season, not just Cy Young consideration. He knows that the playoff atmosphere and pressure will be different, but is doing his best to embrace it rather than ignore it. That's the sign of a competitive player who knows his team's fortunes rest with him.
The Brewers know they are more than just another playoff team on the heels of an NL-best 100-plus win season. Misiorowski and his teammates carry the hopes of a World Series-title city on their back heading into their first series, and the Brewers ace knows it's going to take an uncommon effort to get it done, beyond anything seen during the regular season.
