The Atlanta Braves are looking to upset the Los Angeles Dodgers, in a National League Division Series. Atlanta's first-year manager Walt Weiss is opening up about his team ahead of Game 3.

Weiss hears the narrative that his team has doubters, but he is brushing all that aside.

“When you look at our season, we got to the end of spring training and we lost 4 starters, the projections I saw in March, nobody had us making the playoffs,” Weiss said, per Dodgers Nation. “It’s been an amazing season, there’s been so many opportunities and guys have flourished. I get the narrative.”

Atlanta and L.A. are tied at 1 game apiece, ahead of Game 3 Tuesday. The Braves are sending Chris Sale to the mound to start Game 3. Los Angeles will send Yoshinobu Yamamoto, in what is expected to be a strong pitching duel.

Sale is excited to go out and try and get a victory.

“I have too much respect for the game of baseball; I've got too much respect for those guys on the other side of the field to think, because of a previous experience, that the next one was going to be anything other than a grind,” Sale said, per MLB.com. “This is playoff baseball. That's a helluva team across the way.

“I'm just preparing for another grind. I'm preparing for another battle and just got to go leave it all on the field. However it shakes out, that's how it shakes out.”

During the regular season, Sale posted a 2.16 ERA. He also had 14 wins on the campaign. During the postseason, Sale has appeared in two games.

Braves fans hope that Sale can lead the team to a victory on Tuesday. Game 3 of the Braves-Dodgers series is at 6:00 ET.
