After missing all of last season with his Achilles injury, the Portland Trail Blazers' Damian Lillard is looking like his old self again. He's back to dropping consistent 20-point games and going “Dame Time” on his opponents.

One such opponent, the Phoenix Suns' Dillon Brooks, got on Dame's bad side when he tried to step on the Blazers star's Achilles.

Brooks was called for stepping on the sideline while pump-faking from a Lillard contest. Brooks still attempted a 3-pointer after the whistle, and as Lillard stuck a hand out to bother the shot, Brooks stuck his foot out in an apparent attempt to step on Lillard's Achilles.

Lillard was clearly not pleased at what Brooks did and quickly got in the Suns forward's face. The referees and Blazers coaches quickly got in between the two before things got out of hand.

At this point, it's just par for the course for Brooks, who remains one of the league's foremost agitators. Whether it's getting into a scuffle with Draymond Green or getting ejected for a flagrant foul, he always just seems to be in the middle of some shenanigans.

But it's in particularly bad taste for him to step on Lillard's Achilles, which kept him sidelined for such a long time and had to work so hard to come back from. Aside from it just being annoying, it was understandable for Lillard to react as strongly as he did to Brooks' stunt. Luckily, Dame didn't get hurt and the situation didn't escalate further than that.
