The Chicago Blackhawks had a rough night on Monday. Apart from suffering a 5-2 loss at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche at United Center in Chicago, the Blackhawks also saw franchise legend Patrick Kane leave the game in the second period with an apparent injury.

Here is a video of the future Hockey Hall of Famer exiting to the locker room.

The Blackhawks later posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Kane was ruled out for the rest of the game.

In a later update, Chicago head coach Jeff Blashill said that Kane will miss the next two Blackhawks games with an upper-body injury, via Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times.

The Blackhawks scored the first two goals of the game with even-strength scores by Wyatt Kaiser and Roman Kantserov in the opening period before the Avs woke up and responded with five unanswered goals, including one on the power play.
