The Buffalo Bills are fresh off their bye week in Week 7, one that Spencer Brown needed. The offensive tackle has been banged up with a back injury for the last couple of weeks.

During his press conference ahead of their Week 8 showdown against the Baltimore Ravens, Brown shared his current health condition. He also revealed the true extent of the injury, which had him taking some serious medication.

“It's good. Just lingering stuff from what's happened to me the last couple of weeks here. Happened in that LA game, I just kind of got nicked up, and then I took enough drugs to sedate a small elephant when I was in LA. Everybody's laughing. It's protocol. NFL signed off on it, so it's OK,” Brown said.

After outlasting the LA Rams 37-34 in overtime, the Bills edged out the Las Vegas Raiders 33-30. With the help of his medication, Brown was able to play amid his back injury against the Raiders.

Spencer Brown, a third-round pick by the Bills in 2021 has been a highly reliable tackle ever since coming to the team. He's played at least 13 games in each of his first five seasons in the NFL and has played 88% or more of the offense's snaps in four of them. This season, he's yet to be slowed down by his back injury as he's played 88% of snaps.

After getting some much-needed rest and recovery from the bye, Brown will look to help the Bills overcome the struggling Ravens, who have suffered back-to-back disastrous second-half collapses. However, Lamar Jackson is trending toward returning after being a full participant in practice.
