Josh Allen made history against the Baltimore Ravens, becoming the Buffalo Bills' all-time leader in career passing touchdowns. His 259th scoring pass moved him past franchise legend Jim Kelly, marking another milestone in his career. However, despite the historic achievement and Buffalo's eventual 36-10 victory, the quarterback had to overcome a difficult first half.
Allen admitted that trying to do too much disrupted the Bills' offensive rhythm early in the game. Speaking with reporters after the win, WIVB-TV Sports Director Josh Reed shared his assessment in a postgame update on X.
“I was doing way too much, I was trying to play some hero ball. Just got to calm the feet down a little bit, trust what's being called and go out there and execute the best we can,” Allen said.
Allen struggled to find his rhythm in the opening half, completing just eight of 19 passes for 112 yards. Buffalo also hurt its own momentum with an interception off a deflected pass and a fumble by DJ Moore. Although the Bills carried a 16-7 lead into halftime, their offense had yet to hit its stride.

The win improved the Bills' record to 6-1, keeping them among the league's top contenders. While Allen had plenty to celebrate after surpassing Kelly, his comments showed that he remained focused on improving. Staying composed, trusting the play calls and avoiding forced plays will be crucial as Buffalo looks to maintain its momentum.
