The Buffalo Bills returned to the winning column after suffering their first loss of the season, handing the Las Vegas Raiders a 33-30 loss in Week 6 of the NFL season. While the spotlight largely remained on Josh Allen and James Cook for their heroic performances, Bills head coach Joe Brady made sure to highlight rookie cornerback Davison Igbinosun’s ‘stickiness’ in coverage following the win.

During his postgame press conference, Brady praised Igbinosun’s ability to remain close to opposing receivers and continue competing regardless of the outcome of individual plays.

“We were a little matchier today in coverage, and the stickiness kind of showed, and that's what IGB kind of does,” Brady said. “And what I love about IGB is he just keeps playing, and they might take a shot, and he's going to go right back at it with the same mindset.”

“He has a short memory, and so he's continuing to grow game in game out and us getting a feel for what's best for him, but one thing I know is he competes every damn play, and that's exactly what we're looking for.”

Igbinosun delivered a notable performance against the Raiders, recording three pass deflections and two total tackles in Buffalo’s narrow victory. The second-round pick out of Ohio State registered one solo tackle and one assisted tackle while helping the Bills disrupt Las Vegas’ passing attack.

The rookie’s performance provided an encouraging sign for Buffalo’s secondary as the team looks to maintain its strong start to the season. The victory improved Buffalo’s record to 5-1 this season.

However, the game was not without controversy for the Bills. Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson was ejected late in the first half.

The win gives Brady's team additional momentum heading into its bye week. The Bills will have an opportunity to rest and address areas for improvement before hosting the Baltimore Ravens.
