The Buffalo Bills (6-1) have added another experienced defensive back to their roster, signing former Miami Dolphins cornerback Kader Kohou to their practice squad ahead of Monday's Week 9 road matchup against the Minnesota Vikings (6-1) at 8:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and ABC.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the move Thursday on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Bills signed former Dolphins CB Kader Kohou to their practice squad.”
Kohou brings significant AFC East experience to Buffalo after spending three seasons with the Dolphins from 2022-24. The 27-year-old originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M-Commerce in 2022 and quickly established himself as a regular contributor in Miami's secondary.
During his three seasons with the Dolphins, Kohou appeared in 47 games, making 38 starts while recording 180 combined tackles, 28 passes defended, three interceptions, two forced fumbles and one sack.
His most recent NFL regular-season action came in 2024, when he registered 45 combined tackles, eight passes defended, two interceptions and one forced fumble across 15 appearances, including nine starts.
Bills add Kader Kohou ahead of Week 9 Vikings matchup
Kohou spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2026 before the organization terminated his practice squad contract on Monday.
Buffalo enters Monday's matchup riding a three-game winning streak following its dominant 36-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 8.
The Bills have emerged as one of the AFC's top contenders through eight weeks, and adding Kohou provides additional depth to their secondary as they look to maintain their momentum.
Although Kohou initially joins the practice squad, his experience as a starting cornerback could make him a valuable option for Buffalo's defense as the season progresses.
The Bills will look to secure their fourth consecutive victory when they face Minnesota on Monday Night Football.
