Every team in the AFC North is over .500 and within a half-game of first. Sunday afternoon, the Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) and the Baltimore Ravens (4-2) meet at M&T Bank Stadium meet with each looking to take the next chapter in this rivalry and in the process take possession of the top spot in the division.
The Bengals have not played since October 11 against the Dolphins. Cincy won 31-24. Cincinnati’s offense looked much more like the explosive unit that has defined the Joe Burrow era, generating points consistently against a Miami defense that struggled to contain the Bengals’ passing attack. The victory snapped a two-game losing streak and improved Cincinnati’s record to 3-2 heading into its Week 6 bye last weekend. The extra week of rest could prove valuable as the Bengals prepare for a Baltimore defense that has traditionally made life difficult on divisional opponents.
Baltimore sits tied atop the division with Cleveland and Pittsburgh because they lost last weekend to the aforementioned Browns, 13-10. Quarterback Lamar Jackson did not play in the game and the offense labored without him. The Ravens entered that game having won three of four and had averaged more than 29 points per game before being held to just 10 by the Browns. Jackson is listed as day-to-day with continued ankle issues.
Several compelling storylines will define this matchup. Baltimore’s elite rushing attack, led by Derrick Henry’s 534 rushing yards and seven touchdowns, faces a Cincinnati defense that ranks among the league’s better units against the run. On the other side, Burrow will look to exploit a Ravens’ secondary that has occasionally surrendered big plays through the air. The recent rivalry has also produced some memorable games, with the teams splitting their 2025 meetings and several contests in recent years being decided by one possession.
Let’s dive into the numbers and see if we can’t find an additional sweat or two in this AFC North tilt.

Here are the best bets our model is projecting for Sunday’s game between the Bengals and the Ravens:
- Moneyline: NBC Sports is leaning towards a play on the Ravens on the Moneyline.
- Spread: NBC Sports is recommending a play on the Ravens +1.5.
- Total: NBC Sports is leaning towards a play on the Game Total OVER 43.5.
Here’s why the Ravens +1.5 is the best bet: The quarterback uncertainty is the single biggest factor. If Huntley starts, Baltimore’s passing environment changes dramatically — he completed 19 of 31 passes for 165 yards with a touchdown and no interceptions in the loss to Cleveland, and he added five rushes for 28 yards. That’s a functional but limited passing game. Cincinnati’s offense has its own issues. The Bengals rank 28th in rushing yards (82.8 per game) and 27th in yards per carry (3.63), which makes them one-dimensional. They also rank 26th in yards per reception (10.53) and 22nd in interception rate (1.59%). Against a Baltimore defense that ranks 3rd in passing touchdowns allowed (0.83 per game), 9th in yards per carry allowed (3.82), and 10th in yards per play allowed (5.61), the Bengals are going to have to grind out drives.
The situational numbers also point to the UNDER. Cincinnati has 14 days of rest after its bye, while Baltimore has just 7 days after a physical loss to Cleveland. Teams coming off a bye typically come out conservative, and the Bengals’ offense has been inconsistent all season — they scored 22 against Jacksonville and 27 against Pittsburgh in their two most recent games.
