New York Yankees designated hitter Ben Rice tied Lou Gehrig on a franchise postseason list Monday despite a 5-2 loss to the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 2 of the ALDS.

Rice homered twice at Tropicana Field, accounting for both of New York’s runs. His second blast gave him four home runs through the Yankees’ first four postseason games, matching Gehrig’s total from 1928 and trailing only Giancarlo Stanton’s five in 2020.

MLB’s Sarah Langs took to X, formerly Twitter, quote-posting MLB’s clip of Rice’s second home run to highlight the franchise history he joined.
