With the Baltimore Ravens taking on the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, the team's defense will have a tall task in looking to at least contain superstar quarterback Josh Allen. As it remains to be seen if Lamar Jackson returns from injury for the Ravens against the Bills, the defense will still have to do their part, as defensive coordinator Anthony Weaver speaks about the challenge and even jokes with a reporter about the topic.
Talking to the media on Thursday, Weaver was asked about the challenge of stopping Allen, saying that it will “take all of us” to stop him. So far this season in six games, he's recorded 1,504 passing yards with nine touchdowns and four interceptions, plus 240 yards and eight scores on the ground.
“Same as it always is, right? Take takes all 11,” Weaver said, according to Jamison Henley of ESPN. “You got to stop the run, right? First and foremost, try not to give him 50-50 run-pass situations, and we know anytime it is a pass, that can turn into a run too with Josh [Allen]. So, tremendous challenge, tremendous quarterback. We know he's elite, so it's going to take all of us.”

A reporter later pointed out that Baltimore hasn’t allowed a lot of scrambling yards this year, Weaver said: “So, are you’re trying to jinx us now?” pic.twitter.com/P1MOIEK3lx

After answering that, one member of the media would point out how Baltimore actually has not allowed a lot of rushing yards when a quarterback scrambles, leading to a humorous response from Weaver.

At any rate, it remains to be seen how Allen will play against the Ravens, as the team looks to snap a two-game skid.
