Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is gearing up for the release of the third installment of his signature shoe with Adidas, the Anthony Edwards 3, in a new colorway entitled, ‘Cold Blooded.’ But that’s not all. In a venture that links Edwards’ Atlanta roots and his current Minnesota home, the Timberwolves’ star playfully teased a comedy show to go along with the release, appropriately named ‘Minneatlantasota.’

“Tired of the same old boring athlete commercials? Sick of these media trained robots pretending to be basketball players? Tune in to Minneatlantasota, the sketch comedy show hosted by Anthony Edwards,” Edwards joked. “We might be playing characters, but we ain’t playing games. We’re bringing the raw and unfiltered truth. And if you can’t handle it, you probably can’t handle my shoe, the Anthony Edwards 3.”

Anthony Edwards’ new shoe with Adidas is scheduled to be released at the end of the week, and the Timberwolves’ superstar signed a lucrative contract extension with the brand a couple of years ago. As he continues to be the rising face of Adidas, such is the same for him in the NBA.

Arguably the best shooting guard in the league, Edwards has improved his game each season since he’s been drafted. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, he’s helped lead the Wolves to two Western Conference Finals appearances in six seasons.

This past year, he appeared in 61 games at just about 35 minutes per game. He averaged a career-high 28.8 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.4 steals with splits of 48.9 percent shooting from the field, 39.9 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 79.6 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
