Coach Steve Kerr's Golden State Warriors are 6-3 this season with an 8:30 p.m. tip against the Orlando Magic scheduled for 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, November 7, with superstar guard Stephen Curry having made a Klay Thompson trash talk revelation recently. Co-star Draymond Green has been in a ruffled mood lately based on comments he made about Kendrick Perkins, while the Warriors continue to plug along with Curry and rookie Yaxel Lendeborg leading the way.
ESPN's Brian Windhorst shared information about Curry illustrating that the 38-year-old Warriors legend is still a force to be reckoned with in the NBA this season.
“I'm old enough to remember when people thought the end of Steph Curry's career was going to be boring…Steph is now back to must-watch TV. Now he's on a minute restriction, it's not slowing him down, he is scoring at a rate that we've almost never seen before. Like last night, he played 29 minutes, 28 points.”
Curry ranks behind only Wilt Chamberlain, George Gervin, Luka Doncic and James Harden for most points per minute through the first seven games of the season, with an average of 1.04 per minute in 2026-27 so far.

The Warriors have two home games on tap before hitting the road for a dreaded Texas triangle string of matchups that will include games against the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks, amid Kristaps Porzingis trade rumors.
Kerr and the Warriors are saving Curry for the stretch run, hoping to prevent injury, and he has responded by excelling at a role few observers ever expected him to play.
