When it comes to trash talking in the NBA, Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards is among the best in the league. He talks trash to opposing players, he talks trash in support of his teammates, and he even talks trash to his teammates in practice. In fact, teammate Ayo Dosunmu recently recalled one of his first practices with the Timberwolves when he and Edwards went back and forth jawing at each other, via The Players Tribune.

The now infamous Spider-Man meme that’s circulated across the internet, with two images of Spider Man pointing at each other, that’s how Ayo Dosunmu felt during that Timberwolves’ practice session talking trash to Anthony Edwards.

“And you know when the trash talking is so good that it’s like you black out and you almost get confused? He’s saying, ‘I’m him!!! I’m him!!!’” Dosunmu wrote. “I’m saying, ‘I’m him!!! You’re you!!!’ We’re like Spider-Man and the other Spider-Man pointing at each other. I’m you!!! You’re me!!!”

Dosunmu went on to say that he absolutely loves this Timberwolves team and that they’re going to hold it down in the wake of Edwards’ recent knee injury that’s expected to sideline him for up to two months. The six-year veteran also exclaimed that he doesn’t want to play for any other team.

So far this season, he’s appeared in nine games, including five starts, at a little over 30 minutes per game. He’s averaging a career-high 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.3 steals with splits of 51.3 percent shooting from the field, 38.2 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 80 percent shooting from the free-throw line.
