The Atlanta Dream were dealt a crushing blow in the midst of their WNBA Semifinal series against the New York Liberty as star guard Allisha Gray was ruled out for Game 2 due to injury, as per Annie Costabile of The Athletic. But with the Dream currently leading 1-0 in the best-of-five series, it’s potentially not as bad as it could have been with Gray considered day-to-day following Game 2.

Allisha Gray initially suffered the finger injury during the Dream’s Game 1 win against the Liberty. She returned briefly after sustaining the injury in the first quarter, but was ultimately ruled out for the remainder of the game following halftime. She finished the game with seven points, one rebound and one steal in 11 minutes of play. She shot 1-of-5 from the field, 1-of-3 from the 3-point line and 4-of-5 from the free-throw line.

With Gray out of action for Game 2, the Dream will likely go with backup guard Isobel Borlase in her place in the starting lineup. She finished with two points and one rebound, going o-of-1 from the field and 2-of-2 from the free-throw line in 10 minutes off the bench.
