As the highly anticipated matchup between the Alabama football team and the LSU Tigers is on Saturday afternoon, the injury status of star wide receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams has been on every fan's mind. With Coleman-Williams looking to return for the Alabama football team against LSU, the latest update is consequential.

According to college football insiders Pete Nakos and Chris Low of On3 Sports, Coleman-Williams is “currently expected to play” for the Crimson Tide against the Tigers.

“NEW: Alabama WR Ryan Coleman-Williams is currently expected to play against LSU on Saturday, [Pete Nakos] and [Chris Low] report,” On3 Sports wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

One person who predicted Coleman-Williams was actually LSU head coach and former Alabama football offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin.

“LSU coach Lane Kiffin, on his radio show, makes a prediction on Alabama receiver Ryan Coleman-Williams. ‘I would expect him to play.' Says Alabama has a track record of getting athletes back on the field super fast,” Jon Blau wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Coleman-Williams has missed the last two games after not just suffering a concussion in Oct. 10's 20-17 loss to the University of Georgia, but he also “underwent arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a meniscus injury,” per ESPN on Oct. 17. So far this season, the junior has caught 23 passes for 415 yards and four touchdowns, as head coach Kalen DeBoer spoke earlier this week about how Coleman-Williams is “working” to get back.

“A lot of these guys from Zabien Brown to Ryan Coleman-Williams, EJ [Crowell], Racin [Delgatty], Terrance Green in particular — those guys are all working on the football field,” DeBoer said, via ESPN's Alex Scarborough. “They're not all in the exact same spot, but they're all out there going through workouts. Some are taking team reps, some are taking non-contact reps.”

The Alabama football team is getting back a key offensive weapon for quarterback Keelon Russell as the No. 5 program looks to record their second straight win Saturday and defeat Kiffin and the No. 14 Tigers. The Crimson Tide are 6-2, 4-2 in conference play, as a key SEC win would go far.
