The Patriots may get A.J. Brown back for Sunday’s game against the Jets, but the team will take more time to make a final determination.
Brown (ankle) is officially questionable for Week 6. If he’s going to play, the team will have to activate him to the 53-man roster.
“We won’t make that decision until tomorrow, so we’ll have to see how he responds from practice today and then go from there,” head coach Mike Vrabel said Friday, via transcript from the team. “I think he looks OK, like everybody. Some good plays, some bad plays. We’re trying to see where his conditioning level is and see how he may feel here after practice today.”
Running back TreVeyon Henderson (ankle) and offensive tackle Will Campbell (knee) are also questionable after being limited participants in practice all week.
“Again, see how they come in and then we’ll evaluate and go from there,” Vrabel said.
Cornerback Christian Gonzalez (shoulder) is off the injury report and is expected to play. He said earlier in the week that he would be ready for the contest.
Cornerback Carlton Davis (neck) and cornerback Karon Prunty (hamstring) have been ruled out.
Offensive tackle Marcus Bryant (ankle), cornerback Channing Canada (hamstring), linebacker Christian Elliss (chest), and safety Craig Woodson (shoulder) are all questionable.
Defensive tackle Cory Durden (illness), safety Kevin Byard (chest), linebacker Dre’Mont Jones (shoulder), cornerback Marcus Jones (ankle), offensive tackle Morgan Moses (foot), cornerback Charles Woods (shoulder), and quarterback Drake Maye (right shoulder) are all off the injury report and are expected to play.
