LeBron James is about to turn 42 years old in a little less than two months, and yet he remains as timeless as ever, getting up there in the sky in the early goings of the Philadelphia 76ers' Monday night clash against the Chicago Bulls. Not even two minutes have passed in the game, and yet James, in transition, threw down an emphatic double-pump jam to score the 76ers' first field goal of the contest.

James has always been able to take care of his body at such a high level, and even in his advanced age, he can still get up there with the best of them. Of course, the 76ers star has lost a step or two, and he can no longer jump as high as once did. But he's coming from such a high athletic peak that any decline would only render him more human than ever before.
The 41-year-old star has needed to pick his spots more often within this 76ers offense, as he has shown no problems thus far in deferring to teammates Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Jaylen Brown when it comes to handling the scoring load.
Entering play on Monday against the Bulls, James is averaging just 16.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per contest. His scoring tally is the lowest it's ever been, and it hasn't helped that he isn't exactly shooting the ball well. He currently has 45/26/63 shooting splits, which is quite uncharacteristic for the greatest scorer in NBA history.

Moreover, he's been a force on the defensive end, as his lesser involvement on offense appears to have freed him up even more on the other end.
And when necessary, James can still pull out some flashy tricks from his bag the way he did on Monday.
