The Philadelphia 76ers are already the talk of basketball, and that could be good or bad. It's started off as the latter for now, as there were rumors that Joel Embiid was called out by LeBron James a few days ago because he was late to practice. James noted that those rumors were lies, and after their preseason game against the Brooklyn Nets, Embiid spoke his piece as well.

“It sucks, but what can you do? It's unfortunate,” Embiid said via ESPN's Dave McMenamin. “I don't know where that came from. It never happened. … I think we just got to focus on ourselves. There's going to be a lot of outside noise to pull us apart from what we're supposed to be and what we're supposed to accomplish. So, it's important that we stay together and we keep our [head] down.”
