Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Jaylen Brown would love to represent Team USA in the 2028 Olympics. After he was snubbed from the team following his 2024 championship and Finals MVP, Brown revisited the conversation ahead of his 76ers debut.

While Brown would love to play for Team USA, he explained why he isn't getting his hopes up over a potential invite, per Yahoo Sports' Jonas Panerio.

“I don't think I will, just, you know, I think just because of other reasons, I don't think I'll be able to play for the USA team.”

After Jaylen Brown accused Team USA of blackballing him because of his relationship with Nike, USA Men's National Basketball Team managing director Grant Hill addressed Brown's Team USA snub over the summer, per ESPN's Road Trippin.

“When I announced the team, there were certain guys that I called before Woj (Adrian Wojnarowski) and Shams (Charania) broke it. I called (Damian) Lillard, I called Jimmy Butler, I tried to call everybody because you never know when they’re going to break it, and you want to give guys the respect to hear it from me. I called Jaylen. We had a great conversation. Unbelievable conversation. But something got lost there,” Hill said.

“You guys can criticize my leadership. You can criticize the ability to put together a roster. When you’re in a role that I’m in, you open yourself up to criticism, and I accept that. But to imply that a shoe company told me what to do, now you're questioning my character, and that was the thing that was weird.”
