The Georgia Bulldogs are highly ranked with another strong recruiting class on deck for 2027 including five-star running back Kemon Spell. Coach Kirby Smart's team is coming off of a 70-20 Week 2 win over Western Kentucky that included 79 rushing yards from Ryan Puglisi and 55 from Nate Frazier. Both players scored a touchdown while quarterback Gunner Stockton, a Pat McAfee favorite, threw for five scores.

On Friday, new footage surfaced of Spell pinballing off of defenders and finishing his run off with power, as 247Sports declared the McKeesport, Pennsylvania high school star a “tackle-breaking machine.”

Spell is a powerfully built runner at 5-foot-9, 205 pounds who chose Smart's Bulldogs over top tier teams including the Michigan Wolverines, Miami Hurricanes, Penn State Nittany Lions and Florida State Seminoles. He is expected to make $1 million in NIL money with the Bulldogs, he told Brad Everett of The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

“I could've gotten more money from other places, but I picked Georgia for the reasons that I want to get to the NFL and I'll be coached by the best guy (Kirby Smart) each and every day,” Spell said. “He's going to coach me hard. I didn't pick Georgia for the money. I picked it for the development piece and getting to the (NFL).”

Spell will follow in a long line of Bulldogs star running backs including former NFL star Nick Chubb, who retired last month, James Cook of the Buffalo Bills, and D'Andre Swift of the Chicago Bears. By the looks of his high school film, he could be an instant impact player for Stockton and Smart's team in Athens, Georgia starting next season.
