The San Francisco 49ers have been reunion central in 2026, with wide receiver Deebo Samuel and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner both returning to the Bay Area, and they had a chance to reunite with another. Trade terms were in place for Jauan Jennings, but the Minnesota Vikings WR expressed his desire to stay put and nixed the organization's plans, according to FOX's Jay Glazer.

Given the tension that lingered from last year's failed contract negotiations, Niners general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan needed to know that Jennings was receptive to a return. Naturally, they wanted to speak with the player via FaceTime. Despite recording only four catches for 43 yards this season, he is not interested in leaving, at least not for San Francisco.
