A horrible start for the Ravens.
The Baltimore Ravens have been in trouble since Lamar Jackson has been out due to injury, and in his first play back things went badly. Jackson injured his hand on the opening play of the game, and was quickly escorted to the locker room for further evaluation.
It’s unclear from the video precisely what happened, whether Jackson landed on his hand and wrist or if it made contact with another player. When he was being escorted from the field he had the injured hand wrapped in a towel, with his arm fixed to his side in a way that certainly didn’t look good.
The official word is that Jackson is questionable to return. The key is what actions the Ravens need to take in the locker room. This could either be a doctor evaluation and a pain-killing injection, which would allow him to return — or potentially x-rays to determine if there is any further damage to the structure of his hand.
Either way, it’s bad news for the Ravens, who don’t have the margins to be without their QB any longer this season.
